Maintenance and modernization
The most important product of Marinetek Adriatic – the continuous floating concrete pontoon does not require any necessary maintenance. The concrete is made according to a special formula, and in accordance with the European standard EU 206-. It has a projected life of 50 years. All metal parts are protected against corrosion by an adequate hot-dip galvanizing method or are made of stainless steel. The maintenance of the pontoon is reduced to a periodic inspection of the joints that can loosen exposed to waves on the locations, so they need to be tightened.
The greatest attention to the overall installation needs to be paid to the periodic inspection of the anchor systems. If they are made of traditional sprockets and concrete blocks, the systems that are prone to corrosion need to be checked more often and replaced if necessary. The legal obligation of the marina manager is the control of anchor systems under the supervision of Croatian Register of Ships, and the renewal of the Floating Facility Safety Certificate after a period of five years.
After a certain period, as a response to the inevitable aging of the equipment and according to the requirements of our users, partial or complete reconstruction of pontoon systems is necessary. With its capacities and the latest technological solutions, Marinetek can help you not only to replace some equipment, but also to significantly improve the quality of equipment and systems in your marina and to raise it to a much higher level.
Marinetek Adriatic has successfully carried out reconstructions in many marinas, for example ACI marinas in Skradin, Pomer, Trogir, Supetarska Draga, and Cres. The latest technical solutions were used in some marinas like ACI marina Skradin, that significantly increased not only the level of service, but also the capacity of the marina and the size ratio of vessels at berth.
