- The signing of the contract for the port of Verudela
The port of Pula Verudela will soon become a safe place to moor with Marinetek pontoons. With the completion of the public procurement process for the development of the open-to-public traffic port Verudela – Phase 1, the Port Authority of Pula made a decision to accept the offer of the community of bidders Marinetek Adriatic, Murgons and Murgons podvodni radovi.
The total value of the contract is €852,828.76 + VAT, and the deadline for the completion of the works is 3 months, counting from the day of introduction to the works.
For this project, Marinetek will build breakwater elements with an anchor system in a total length of about 36 m (M5320BRK – 1 piece and M5316BRK – 1 piece).
Also, floating piers with a total length of about 129 m will be built: 4 M2412AC pontoons and 3 pieces of M2415AC.
The port of Verudela is located in the tourist area of the city of Pula, the village of Punta Verudela on the south side of the port of Bunarina. The entire bay and the archipelago of surrounding islands have a large number of sailors who open the sailing season in March. Investments and projects that encourage the development of more elite tourism outside the main season are necessary for the development of the destination.
Given that the city of Pula has all the prerequisites to be the leading nautical destination of the Adriatic, such projects would create the basic conditions, enable new berths, arrange the landscape, and generate the development of new facilities around the port itself.
