Marina Drage

Work on the construction of the Marina Draga began in the spring of 2022, and by mid-August the most significant excavations on the coast and the largest part of the coastal wall were completed. In the first phase of assembly, Marinetek Adriatic delivered and installed 13 Heavy Duty pontoons with associated mooring fingers.

At the request of the investor, instead of the planned fixed breakwater on concrete piles, we made and installed a floating breakwater composed of ‘mega breakwaters’, the largest breakwaters ever made for the Croatian market. Elements with a width of 6 meters, a length of 20 meters and a total height of 2.4 meters and a weight of almost 90 tons are designed to protect water areas in ports and marinas from waves of a significant height of up to about 1.5 meters. The galvanized steel elements and reinforcements alone weigh almost 6 tons. We delivered as many as 14 new concrete elements to Marina Draga by November 2022, for about a third of the price of a standard fixed breakwater.

Port Kotor

Another significant Marinetek project in Montenegro was successfully completed. Directly in front of the main gate of the stunning medieval town of Kotor, whose old town center is surrounded by an exceptionally well-preserved fortified wall, the Port of Kotor as an investor has developed a project for the construction of a nautical marina. Along with floating jetties, the new marina will provide safe mooring for 142 yachts from 8 to 50 meters in length.

After the public procurement procedure was carried out in January, Marinetek produced and installed pontoon elements, anchoring systems and mooring equipment within the stipulated very short period, until the end of March 2023. The 80 meter long floating breakwater consists of standard Marinetek M3820BR breakwaters and is anchored with the Seaflex anchoring system. Two jetties transverse to the coast and one longitudinal jetty with a total length of 204 meters were formed from standard Heavy Duty pontoon elements with a width of 3 meters. A standard four-way, Mediterranean anchoring system is provided for the mooring of vessels, and all vessels will have the use of electricity and drinking water.
