New Project in Montenegro

Marinetek Adriatic, Civil Engineer and Aquanaut have signed an agreement for a new project at the Port of Budva in Montenegro, where new marina structures are set to be installed. The project is led by the Public Enterprise for Coastal Zone Management of Montenegro.

The agreement signing was attended by Marinetek Adriatic sales director Zoran Cvitan, Civil Engineer director Aleksandar Laković and Aquanaut’s Danilo Mijajlović. Chosen through a public tender, Civil Engineer will lead the project, with Marinetek Adriatic supplying the structures and coordinating the timeline, and Aquanaut handling the underwater works.

Marinetek Adriatic will supply 12 all-concrete pontoons, two access bridges and 20 service pedestals. Supporting equipment will also be provided, including fenders, utility ducts, mooring bollards and anchoring systems with chains, ropes and shackles.

Located on the Montenegrin coast, near the old town and the island of St. Nicholas, the port has 587 berths, including 347 municipal and 240 commercial. Its infrastructure includes more than 1,200 metres of shoreline and 480 metres of pontoons, with mooring equipment such as bollards, rings and cleats.

In 2024, the Montenegrin government assigned management of the Port of Budva to the Public Enterprise for Coastal Zone Management, followed by an agreement on the transfer of possession between Dukley Marina d.o.o. Budva and the public enterprise.

In a November 2025 update, the public enterprise stated that €800,000 (around $926,000 USD) had been invested, increasing capacity by 40 berths and improving conditions for receiving vessels. Further investment is planned over the next five years to increase capacity by 20-30 percent and continue updates to the port.
