- New berths for Makarska
Another success to celebrate and another exciting project to look forward to!
Today, we signed a new contract with the Port Authority of Split-Dalmatia county for the redevelopment of the waterfront area in the city of Makarska. The project includes the installation of floating piers and an increase in the number of berths. The contract was signed by our Sales Manager, Zoran Cvitan, and the Director of the Split-Dalmatia County Port Authority, Domagoj Maroević. The project includes the construction and installation of two floating piers with a total length of 210 metres:
– a 120-metre pier comprising eight pontoon sections
– a 90-metre pier comprising six pontoon sections
Both piers will be built using Marinetek M2415AC pontoons, each measuring 14.92 metres in length and 2.2 metres in width. Two six-metre finger piers will be installed at the end of each pier to provide safe mooring for visiting vessels. Our scope of work covers the manufacture and installation of the complete anchoring system, the assembly of the pontoons and mooring components, and the installation of all required safety equipment. The project is scheduled for completion within six months from the commencement of works and has a contract value of approximately
€700,000, excluding VAT.
We look forward to bringing this project to life and contributing to the continued development of modern, safe and high-quality port infrastructure in Makarska!
