- Marinetek pontoons for a safer Dajla–Belveder harbour
Our highly successful year continues with another significant contract, this time for work on Dajla–Belveder harbour in the Novigrad area. The contract was signed with Adriaing, the construction contractor. The signing was attended by Zoran Cvitan, Sales Director at Marinetek Adriatic, and Borna Fable, Project Manager at Adriaing.
The project is being developed by the Umag–Novigrad County Port Authority, with a total investment of €7.55 million. It is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness and Cohesion Programme 2021–2027.
Marinetek will manufacture, deliver and install six All Concrete M2415AC pontoons, measuring 2.20 × 14.92 metres. These will form two floating piers, each approximately 45 metres long. The scope of work also includes access gangways and anchoring and mooring systems for the piers and vessels.
The new harbour will provide safer berthing and better conditions for fishing boats, excursion vessels and boats belonging to local residents. Alongside the floating piers, the project includes a breakwater, a quay wall, a slipway and dredging of the harbour basin. Once completed, the harbour will offer 63 communal berths, meeting the local community’s longstanding need for a sheltered and functional harbour.
The surrounding waterfront will also be improved, with a promenade, green spaces and seating areas. Dajla will gain a more welcoming setting for everyday gatherings and walks, for residents and visitors alike.
We are particularly pleased to contribute to a project whose benefits will be felt in everyday life — as fishermen return from sea, boat owners prepare to set sail, or neighbours enjoy an evening walk along the waterfront.
