ACI marina Skradin

Marina Skradin is located near the National Park Krka, along the river Krka and next to the Skradin town. Because of its position, beautiful nature and extraordinary cuisine for which Skradin is known, during the season marina achives the most significant income from short-term visitors. Special feature of the marina are big yachts whose owners chosen Skrading long time ago as one of the most desirable destination. After 20 years since the establishment of the marina, ACI Club as investor decided the extention and renovation of the old marina, with the basic idea for better quality service to visitors, especially to visitors with large vessels.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Project:
ACI Marina Skradin
Location:
Skradin
Investor:
ACI Club d.d.
Marina capacity:
220 berths, 4 berths for megayachts
Works:
Construction and installation of 4 different piers with anchoring systems for piers and vessels, complete installation and access bridges
Budget:
900.000 €
Date of completion:
2010.
Products:
pontoons M3300HDS, M2700HD, M3820BRS ; Seaflex elements, Rolec service cabinets
Extras:
Anchoring system for pier B with sliding elements and rails at the fortress; anchoring system and supply of megayacht up to 50 meters; ‘tailor made’ arched access bridge on the floating pontoons; Seaflex system of anchoring of pontoons

It was immediately noticed that the distance between pier A and B in Skradin bay is too small to accept vessels greater than 10 m in length. The coast along the pier B was cleared and leveled, we built concrete fortress that are wide apart 15 m and on them placed vertical rails – guides for pontoons. Instead of being anchored with chains a few meters from the coast, the pier B is installed next to the fortress thus saving 5-8 meters at intervals of pool and enabling to accommodate vessels up to 16 meters in length. This construction is unique in Croatia, but the idea came from colleagues in Danish Marinetek who used this system of anchoring pontoon in center of Kopenghagen.

Pier C has been replaced with 3 meters wide Marinetek Heavy Duty pontoon, and piers D and E were adapted by the request for acceptance of large vessels. They are composed of heavy breakwater elements M3820BRS, with mooring cleats with capacity of 100kN, and service cabinets with connections to 250Amp. On the outer side of pier E it is formed anchoring system for safe mooring of megayachts up to 50 m in length. Anchoring systems for piers C, D and are carried out with Seaflex elements.

The construction of the scaffolding element that was twenty years ago set up as a temporary access from pier A to pier B and to the rest of marina, has been replaced by ‘tailor made’ specially designed arched bridge, placed on Marinetek Heavy Duty floating pontoons. This construction provides exceptional flexibility and smooth transitions during the biggest changes in the level of water, and arched bridge provides the possibility for passing underneath the bridge for the local boats population. Marina itself gained one beautiful apperance, especially at night when the bridge and the passage beneath illuminates with LED lights.

ACI marina Rovinj

Marina Rovinj, in which more than HRK 150 million has been invested, is the largest investment in ACI’s, until 2019. It is the most modern marina which ACI has in the Adriatic and is categorized like first five anchors marina. Two main baisns, one for vessels in transit and the other for vessels on an annual basis, have a total of 196 berths for an average length of 17 meters, with the possibility of accommodating yachts to 35 meters in length and much longer vessels in transit.

Marinetek has completed the works on the design, delivery and installation of floating pontoon pierss, equipment and anchorage system in the agreed and planned terms. Four piers, 57m, 69m, 75m, and 54 meters long, have been constructed, transported and anchored. All docks are made of the standard Marinetek Heavy Duty pontoon elements type M3300HD, with a total width of 3.3m, with adequate equipment. Pontons are additionally equipped with high quality WPC decking in two shades of grey colors. The fenders along side pontoons are made of PE elastic material in the color of the walking surface.

Limassol, Cyprus

In 2013 was completed one of the most complex and most luxurious resort on the eastern Mediterranean, Marina Limassol in Cyprus. This is a huge luxury tourist resort with restaurants, hotels and apartments, which surround the marina with 650 berths. About 1000 units, valued at approximately 800 milion euros, is being built next to the old port in one of the most beautiful coastlines in Cyprus. Investors are Cyprus entrepreneurs and the construction is in charge of company “Cybarco”, specialized for building large port facilities, as well as the construction of airports.

One of the oldest and most respected developers of marina projects in the world and a world famous company “Camper & Nicholson Marinas” is in charge for the design, supervision and running of marina after construction. Based on many years a successful cooperation with Marinetek, C&N Marinas has entrusted to Marinetek NCP building, supply and installation of pontoons and all equipment.

For the formation of 12 floating piers there were used additionally modified standard Marinetek Premier pontoons, with width of 2,5 and 3 meters. Instead of standard built-in service ducts for installations, it was used a channels system placed on the walking surface of pontoon elements, which will make easier the maintenance of network installation.

The Jaffa port is considered to be one of the oldest ports in the world. The port has been in almost constant use since the Canaanite period until the present day, and it is what gave Jaffa its historic status as a central city in the eastern basin of the Mediterranean Sea and as the western gateway to the country. The port has been serving fishermen, sailors, merchants, pilgrims, conquerors and immigrants for thousands of years as they came and went through it.

This project is very significant for Marinetek, not because of its size, but because of the uniqueness of the location and the project itself, where marinetek and partners proposed the most appropriate technical solution. The project itself will make Israel the sixteenth country with installation of Marinetek pontoons ‘Made in Šibenik, Croatia’.

Gardens Yacht marina Malta

The Maltese archipelago, in the very center of Mediterranean, more precisely south of Sicily and north of Africa, consists of several islands and islets, three of which are inhabited – Malta, Gozo and Comino. The island of Malta is of course the largest of them and considering its geografical postion in heart of Mediterranean, it is not surprising that it has become a destination with highly developed nautical tourism. Over time, Malta has become destination for all who move through Suez canal and is permanent destination for all cruises in the Mediterranean waters.

In 2003 Marinetek has built the largest marina in the capital city Valetta – Grand Harbour Marina, and recently also a marina in service center Kalkara which makes great references for all future projects of building and reconstruction of marinas in that area. Despite the new situation with the pandemic of coronavirus, in April this year Marinetek has successfully built and delivered pontoons with additional equipment for a completely new marina, Gardens Yacht marina Malta.

This project includes building a new marina on the site of the old piers along the coast. So far, the mooring method has been for only ten vessels up to 25 m long and thirty vessels smaller than 20 m. Following the requirements of investors Gardens Marina ltd, with the proposed expansion of the marina has achieved a better organization of the reception of vessels and the placement of berths on pontoons in order to increase capacity. Accordingly, now marina has total of 97 berths, of which 18 for vesels of 30m, 20 berths for vessels of 25 m, 40 berths for vessels of 15 m, 18 berths for vessels of 12 m and one berth for vessel of 45-50 m long.

ACI marina Slano

Continuing a long-standing successful cooperation with ACI, at the beginning of the year 2015 we agreed a design and construction of the maritime part of brand new marina. It is marina in Slano which, on delight of numerous boaters, was built as a third marina in Dubrovnik county. Considering that this part of Adriatic coast is very attractive, especially in Dubrovnik and Korčula where there is always demand for more berths, there is no doubt that this marina also, which is located only 37 km from Dubrovnik, will be fully occupied.

Aci marina Slano extends over the area of 66.279 square meters and can accommodate 190 vessels of length between 8 and 20 meters for which are built piers and breakwaters with total length of 688 meters. Upon completion of main works on the mainland, Marinetek joined in with the construction works of the maritime  part which involved installation of floating brekawaters and piers, electric installations, water supply and hydrant network and anchoring system of the vessels. The total value of our work was 16 M kn.

The surface of all pontoon piers is covered with exotic wood, which gives marina an extraordinary exclusive look.
For this project Marinetek produced and delivered 9 Heavy Duty Pontoons (type M4312HD and M4315HD), 20 All Concrete pontoons (type M3012AC) and 16 breakwaters (type M4320BRK, M4316BRK and M3820BRS), which are formed in 5 piers.
